For six years, Mr. McMillin directed choirs in Minnesota where he created and led award-winning programs. He currently is Director of Choral Activities and Instructor of Music at Simpson College where he directs the choral ensembles, teaches voice, and accompanies singers as well as teaching classes in conducting, music history and choral studies. In addition to being active in festival programs and directing church music, Mr. McMillin has been involved in performing, musical direction and a variety of other aspects of stage production with the Des Moines Metro Opera, various high schools and numerous community theatre organizations. Mr. McMillin's choral experience took him to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he served as Producer and Company Manager for the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, a professional choir. He is also active as a choral clinician and adjudicator around the Midwest. His professional affiliations include ACDA, MENC and NATS.
