Hi everyone!
According to the ICDA mission statement, we exist to (among other things) “promote excellence in the choral art through high quality offerings and events.” As the SWI district, this is our job. The question is- how do we do it? I have three goals/concerns for the duration of my directorship. I hope you will join me in raising the bar so that all of the events we offer will be “high quality”.
1. Be professional- Registration deadlines will be strictly adhered to. Asking for special consideration only makes more work for everyone.

2. Be prepared- Prepare your students and yourselves for honor choir and all-state rehearsal opportunities. Do not attempt to sight read the music or expect your students to- no matter how talented they are!

3. Be helpful- This organization is run by volunteers who all hold jobs in addition to their work with ICDA. Lend a hand or offer encouragement, not criticism.

Let's have a great year offering high quality events!
