Welcome to the South Central District web page! My name is Jim Shutt and I am serving as the current representative for this district. I’m excited to be contributing to I.C.D.A. in this way and hope I will be hearing from many of you when you have a concern or a suggestion you would like presented to the board. I would also like to hear about your ideas for current or future events. There have been many suggestions but no one to host events. If you want to help in any way, shoot me an e-mail. I currently teach middle school (grades 6 – 8) vocal music at Dallas Center-Grimes Community School. I have taught at all levels K-12. I am currently a church choir director and have directed brass, percussion and handbell ensembles. This is my 20th year of teaching and I am pumped to start a new school year. See the list below for the dates of events in our district. More information about conductors and deadlines will be added as well as the registration forms.
